Located in the historic part of East Lothian a short walk from Haddington town centre, Maitlandfield House offers a varied selection of dining experience from Morning Coffee, Afternoon Tea in the relax surroundings of our drawing room. Lunch or Dinner is served in the vibrant and stylish Brasserie. For a private event our two private dining rooms, The 16 King's or The Reception Room may be more what you are looking for. Our head Chef and his team will prepare dishes that are modern and classic, carefully sourced from selected suppliers, many of them supporters of Haddington Farmers Market.
The emphasis is on using fresh local produce as a general rule. East Lothian area is very rich in farming. We believe totally in supporting this community and have been commended by the East Lothian's Food and Drink Festival over the last few years.
The dining experience is complemented by a careful selection of outstanding wines from around the world. For pre dinner drinks, the adjacent drawing room with its welcoming armchairs, sofas and open fire will make the ideal place to enjoy a glass of probably the best classic malt whisky in Scotland, Glenkinchie, which is produced a mere 4 miles from the house or why not try a large glass of the local, smooth famous dark beer Belhaven Best.
At lunch in addition to our normal menu we have a Specials Menu that includes a sandwich selection that changes daily. Lunch is served from 12 noon to 14.00 hours
Dinner is available by making a reservation from Monday to Saturday from 17.30hrs to 20.30hrs Sunday our Brasserie is closed in the evening.
