Maitlandfield Restaurant in East Lothian
Commended Brasserie at the East Lothian Food and Drink Awards 2007/2008
An atmosphere of quiet elegance is reflected in our Taste of Scotland and Visitscotland recommended Brasserie where the hotel's head chef William Black and his team prepare dishes that are modern and classically infused with Scottish flavours.

The emphasis is on using fresh local produce as a general rule. East Lothian area is very rich in farming. We believe totally in supporting this community and have been commended by the East Lothian's Food and Drink Festival 2007 /08 for good food.
The dining experience is complimented by a careful selection of outstanding
wines from around the world. For pre dinner drinks, the adjacent drawing room
with its welcoming arm chairs, sofas and open fire will make the ideal place to enjoy
a glass of probably one of the best classic malts in Scotland, Glenkinchie,
which is produced a mere 4 miles from the house. Or why not try a large glass
of the local, smooth famous dark beer Belhaven Best.
Also available is a varied selection of light snacks and gourmet sandwiches
that can be enjoyed in relaxing and informal surroundings of the drawing
room, bar area or the extensive gardens.
