Maitlandfield House Hotel, Haddington, is a Period Style House that retains the charm and decadence of its period whilst offering the quality, service and attention expected of a modern 3 star hotel. With the heart of Scotland's capital, Edinburgh, is 16 miles away and the renowned " Golf Coast" home to courses such as Muirfield, North Berwick and Gullane, closer still. Today the house offers a varied selection of well appointed bedrooms and the public rooms can be used for private meetings, conferences or or just to enjoy sharing a coffee with friends.
The Great Hall Suite The Original ballroom of the house was developed as a purpose built Conference Facility in Haddington East Lothian, Scotland.
Now established as one of the finest conference and banqueting facilities in East Lothian, The Great Hall is a self contained extension built into the original ball room / dining hall of the house providing meeting and conference facilities for up to approximately 200 delegates.
With its own parking and private entrance, the Great Hall is accessed through the original gate that linked the house and the stables. It ensures privacy and seclusion for conference delegates.
The Great Hall compromises of an private entrance lobby, spacious reception area, bar and private cloakrooms for ladies and gentleman.
The ceiling was designed to incorporate three large glass lanterns that invites the daylight into the room.
Table layouts can be varied depending on your requirements

The Reception Room was the original dining room of the house, situated in the ground floor. Today is used as a drinks reception room, conference meeting room or as it was then a private dining room for up to 30 guests.

The Drawing Room is a light panel wood room with real log fire which is complemented by rich regency drapes and welcoming armchairs.
This room provides a source of relaxation while you study the selection of contemporary Scottish art displayed around the room or you can just indulge in the views of the hotel garden.

Sixteen King's named after the many visits from earlier English and Scottish Kings to Haddington. Many of there portraits are on display in the room.
This room benefits from having direct access to the gardens making it ideal for a pre dinner drink on a summers day

The Tyne Room was in the earlier years of the house the room was the children play room. Situated in the first floor of the main house enjoys fantastic views over the gardens and terraces.
Today this room is the Boardroom with a hexagonal conference table that seats 20 delegates

The Gardens is the ideal place to enjoy a summer cocktail, afternoon tea or just to relax with your favourite book, surrounded by few fruit trees old oaks giving you the shade to enjoy your private time
