Hogmanay Break Edinburgh & Lothians 2008 - 2009

We would like to invite you to join our Scottish New Year "Scottish Hogmanay" at one of Edinburgh and Lothian's country house hotels. Enjoy the warm friendly surroundings, comfortable accommodation, delicious food and a true sense of Scottish hospitality.

The New Year Three Night Break Program:

Arriving on Tuesday 30th December 2008
Check in at leisure from 14.00hrs onwards. Settle into your room and familiarize yourself with your surroundings. In the afternoon you may wish to take a stroll exploring the historic town of Haddington with its 175 listed buildings or simply relax and unwind in the drawing room in front of a real coal fire. Dinner will be served in the brasserie from 18.00hrs until 20.00hrs when you will have a chance to join other guests. Background entertainment will be provided by David Davis who has played for many years in the ballrooms of Blackpool.

Wednesday 31st December 08
Start the day with a full Scottish breakfast. Enjoy rest of the day at your own leisure exploring the best of the Lothian's. Take a gentle drive along the area visiting the picturesque fishing villages and coastline into Edinburgh with its' attractive and interesting shops and galleries returning in time for the evening Hogmanay Ball.

Hogmanay Ball and Dinner
The evening will kick start with a welcome drink from 19.00hrs followed by the pipe major piping you in to the Great Hall Ballroom for dinner when a Taste of the Lothian's three course dinner will be served followed by dancing to the night's entertainment. At midnight the piper will once again play for you and bring in the best wishes for the new year. Dancing will continue until 1am.

New Years Day Breakfast 1st January 2009
A sumptuous Scottish style breakfast buffet will be served in the brasserie between 8.30am and 10.30am.

• Lunch is an additional option and we would recommend you to book in advance of arriving at the hotel. Lunch is served from 12.30hrs to 14.30hrs

In the Evening
At 18.30hrs a supper buffet including a dessert will be served in the brasserie and bar and coffee can be taken in the lounge in front of a real coal fire. David Davis will once again entertain you until 23.00hrs

Thursday 2nd January 2008
Full Scottish breakfast buffet is served between 8.30am and 10.00am before departure.
