Welcome to Scotland and to the New Year festivities at Maitlandfield House Hotel situated in the most historic and picturesque town of Haddington, to the East of Edinburgh and only a few minutes drive from the award winning coastline of North Berwick East Lothian.
The Hogmanay (New Year's Eve) Ball will begin with a drinks reception in the drawing room at 19.00hrs to allow all to meet. The Piper in his full Scottish outfit will welcome you all into the Great Hall with a few Scottish tunes. An introduction to the evening will be given and then a delicious Taste of Scotland three course dinner will be served.
The band for the evening will begin at around 21.00hrs until the early hours when the piper will welcome in the New Year.

STARTER
Confit of game and chicken terrine with celeriac remoulade and mini oatcakes
White onion soup with toasted seeds and fresh bread Oak Smoked Salmon with picled gherkin, caper and mayonnaise dressing
MAIN COURSE
Carved rib eye of local beef, fondant potato, claret red wine jus
Oven roast salmon on creamed potato with brandy and shellfish bisque
Vegetarian wild mushroom and mixed nut lattice with rich tomato and onion sauce
DESSERT
Glazed lemon tart with dusted fruits and citrus sorbet
Duo of double chocolate mousse with butter scotch sauce
Cheese Platter plum and grape chutney with oatcakes

Freshly brewed coffee with handmade petit fours
